This memorial made me feel like I was back at home in Oklahoma. I think it was a combination of the stone work (I spent all of my adolescence laying stone with my father) and the view (though it's surrounded by high buildings, from a perspective you look over a hill and see nothing but the horizon).

To Home: Oklahoma, Ireland, Manhattan
This memorial made me feel like I was back at home in Oklahoma. I think it was a combination of the stone work (I spent all of my adolescence laying stone with my father) and the view (though it's surrounded by high buildings, from a perspective you look over a hill and see nothing but the horizon).

I like how you describe the conflict between the joys of being transportated away while simultaneously loving where you are. I've never known how to put that feeling in words, and you've done it beautifully!
